The Cozy Core does not have any added layers, but you have the option to unzip the cover and add another 2″ of latex to make it softer anytime, if you desire.

This is a great mattress for folks who enjoy a firmer mattress. It’s also a perfect choice for a child’s first “big boy / big girl” bed because it can grow with them from a toddler to a college student. Start them out on the reverse firmer side, flip it to the softer side in a few years, then when they’re teenagers you can add the 2″ sculpted layer (plus a cuddle top). After they leave the nest, put it in your guest room.

At any time you can change the comfort (next month or next year), making this a great ‘grow-with-me’ kid bed.
If necessary, the Cozy Core mattress can be modified the following ways:

#1 – Add a layer of 1.5″ soft sculpted latex for added cushioning.

#2 – Consider adding our Natural Latex LaNoodle Cuddle Top or our CozyTop for a softer feel.

#3 – You can also combine the above – add one layer of our scultped latex plus add one of our Cuddle Tops.
(This will give you the softest configuation possible for this firmer mattress).

#4 – If you should ever desire the Cozy Core to actually be a little firmer, simply flip it over.
(The quilting is tighter and firmer on the bottom).

Our latex cores and toppers are made to our specifications from 100% natural organic rubber with no synthetics or fillers using the time-tested natural Dunlop process which has proven to out-perform anything in terms of longevity and durability. Although heavy and dense, it does not have any fillers often associated with Talalay, nor does it have any chemicals or petroleum used with synthetic latex.

We work directly with our supplier located in the beautiful island of Sri Lanka, known for their high-quality rubber plantations. In fact, they were the first plantation and manufacturing plant to receive the global organic latex standard certificate.
